Career of Bhagwant Mann

His political career started in 2011 when he became a part of the People's Party of Punjab. He contested for the assembly election in 2012 but was unsuccessful. He joined Aam Aadmi Party in 2014 and won the seat of the Sangrur Lok Sabha constituency. He successfully contested for the Assembly Election in 2022 and became the Chief Minister of Punjab in March 2022.

Even his party members like Yogendra Yadav and Harinder Singh Khalsa alleged him for attending Parliament while being drunk. MP Harinder Singh requested to change his seat as Mann who was sitting next to him was stinking badly because of alcohol.

Mann claims that he sacrificed his personal life for the sake to serve the nation. His happy married life ended in divorce in 2015, a year after he joined Aam Aadmi Party.
He again came in news headlines, when he streamed live on Facebook while he was attending a Parliament session in July 2016. He was kicked out of the session by the Speaker of Lok Sabha and was suspended until Monsoon Session.
