Career of Lalu Prasad Yadav

He was interested in politics when he was a student of Patna University and was selected as General Secretary. He won Lok Sabha election from Chapra in 1977. He became chief minister of Bihar in 1990 after winning an internal poll of Janta Dal. He founded Rashtriya Janata Dal in 1997. He served as the Railway Minister of India for five years and is elected as Member of Parliament for over five times. His name is such involved in politics of Bihar that one couldn’t even thinks of politics of Bihar without Lalu.
