Career of Zhao Ziyang
He joined Communist Youth League in 1932. He became the Party secretary of Guangdong province, in 1965. He became the Vice Chairman of the Central Military Commission from November 1987 until June 1989. He held the office of the Premier of the People's Republic of China from September 1980 to 1987. He was General Secretary of the Communist Party in Chine from January 1987 to 1989. He was placed under house arrest and died in 2005.
