Career of Joe Clark
He became a Member of Parliament in January 1973. He remained the leader of the opposition from February 1976 to June 3, 1979. On the next day, he held the office of Prime Minister until March 3, 1980. After which he again became a leader of the opposition. He became the Secretary of State for External Affairs from September 1984 to April 1991 and President of the Privy Council afterward. He announced his retirement in 1993.
