Career of Rodolfo Neri Vela

After earning a doctorate degree from University of Birmingham in 1979, he performed postdoctoral research for one year. He was a part of the Radiocommunications Group in an Institute of Electrical Research. He was selected as a Payload Specialist in the STS-61-B Atlantis mission. He traveled 2.4 million miles in 108 Earth orbits in more than 165 hours in space.
