Career of Navjot Singh Sidhu

He started his career in 1983 and his best performance was against England which was 134 runs at Gwalior in 1993. In his test career, he scored a double century during India's 1997 tour of West Indies. He was a fast player and was also nicknamed as "Sixer Sidhu". Also worked as a Commentator for various cricket series and also as "cricket analyst" for many Hindi news channels. He is a Member of Parliament with a ticket from Bharatiya Janata Party from the Amritsar seat, however, he quit BJP and join Indian National Congress in 2017.

Jaswinder Singh who was an eye-witness said he and his friend Bhupinder Singh Sandhu deliberately assaulted his Uncle Gurnam Singh which results in his death. In December 2006, he was sentenced to a three-year prison and he resigned from Member of Parliament and appealed to the Supreme Court in January 2007. He got a stay order on his conviction and was allowed to contest the election in February 2007 and also won the Amritsar Lok Sabha seat.
He served as a judge in many sequels of Laughter Challenge which was most popular show in India and also appeared in Comedy Nights with Kapil.
He had made a guest appearance in the movie Mujhse Shaadi Karogi in 2004.
