Career of Francois Mitterrand

He was interested in politics at the time he was in college. He was also a part of the student organization "Action Catholique." After giving his services to French Army in Second World War, he became a member of the National Assembly in 1946. He served as Senator of Nievre in 1959. After serving as Mayor of Château-Chinon (Ville), he became president of the French Republic in 1981 and remained in the position until 1995.
