Some Lesser Known Facts About Richard Nixon (37th President of the United States)
- He had four brothers and his parents' name all their son on the name of the king who was the ruler in the histories like he was named after the king Richard the Lionheart.
- In his childhood days before going to school, he used to wake up early in the morning and bring vegetables to his grocery store from Los Angles by driving a truck and after that washing the vegetables and placing them in the store.
- He passed his high school with good grades and was offered to come and study at the Harvard university but due to his mother's illness he did not accept the offer and stayed in his hometown and studied there.
- After graduation, he applies for the Federal Bureau of Investigation but no response was given to him. He almost becomes the FBI agent but due to the budget cuts, he was able to succeed.
- During the world war II, he worked as a lieutenant commander in the Navy on October 3, 1945.

- He was able to play five instruments which include accordion, violin, saxophone, piano, and clarinet. He also used to play piano sometimes to entertain his guest.
- He was a Quaker and was the second Quaker to became the president the first one was Herbert Hoover.
- The heavy, dark marble which was used for his grave is a gift given by the local gravestone vendor and he himself took that stone to the Nixon Library with the help of pick-up truck.

- Five presidents attend his funeral along with their First ladies that are Ronald Reagan with Nancy Reagan, Gerald Ford- Betty Ford, George Bush with Barbara Bush, Bill Clinton with Hillary Clinton, and Jimmy Carter with Rosalynn Carter. It was also telecast live by the NBC.
