Career of Martin O'Malley

He joined the Gary Hart presidential campaign when he was in college. In the 43rd State Senate District in northeast Baltimore, he fought for the Maryland State Senate but lost by just 44 votes. He won the seat of Mayor of Baltimore in 1999. In 2006 election he won from Ehrlich as Governor of Maryland. He again defeated Ehrlich in 2010 general election by 56%-42%. He was appointed the chairman of the advisory committee in 2016.
