David Bacon was an American actor and was famous for his role of Bob Barton in the 1943 film serial The Masked Marvel, Bacon was born in Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts, the USA on March 24, 1914. His full name was David Gaspar Griswold Bacon and was from a politically active Boston Brahmin family. Born with the silver spoon in his mouth, he was the son of Gaspar G Bacon who was on the board of Harvard University and also served as lieutenant governor of Massachusetts. David also completes his graduation from Harvard. He met Austrian singer, Greta Keller in Los Angeles, California and married her later on. He was murdered in a very small age of 29, on September 13, 1943, in Hollywood, California, USA.

In the early 1930's he becomes involved with "University Players," at West Falmouth but his acting career does not make any progress, He met a wealthy British guardian in New York City but this also does not help him as he started wearing expensive clothes and jewelry and he was acting as a gigolo. In 1942, he met Howard Hughes who gave him small roles of college students etc. Later, he signed him for a role in the Republic serial The Masked Marvel (1943) and this role was his most memorable role.
