He started his career as a child artist and first appeared in the film The Long Memory.
Television
He also appeared in BBC's soap opera 'The Grove Family' as Lenny Grove but he got fame from his appearance in 47 episodes of 'Upstairs, Downstairs' as Edward Barnes. He also appeared in 'Miss Jones and Son' as Geoffrey, in the remake of 'The Rag Trade' as Tony, and in 'In Loving Memory' as Billy Henshaw.
Theatre
He had given many stage appearances including Stop the World: I Want to Get Off, The Unexpected Guest; Boeing, Boeing; Move Over, Mrs. Markham; Rough Crossing; Present Laughter; Brief Encounter. He also performed in the play 'There's No Place Like a Home', and in Five Blue Haired Ladies Sitting On A Park Bench. In the beginning of 2012, he appeared in pantomime at the Assembly Hall, Tunbridge Well.

We got our first TV set in 1953 or 54, can't remember to be exact. "The Groves" was a must watch. I feel that Christopher has done a good job in his acting career, and wish him health and happiness. Written from Southern Tasmania.
