He started his wrestling journey in 1973 and participated in the American Wrestling Association (AWA). He joined hand with Jerry Brisco and participated in the NWA Georgia Tag Team Championship. They won the championship in 1975 but lost it after two months. He became a part of the World Wide Wrestling Federation in 1976. In 1984, Salvatore Bellomo was defeated by him. He participated in the AWA World Heavyweight Champion Rick Martel.
