- In starting he take his formal studies from his mother and mentor Maestro Agustin Santiesteban III. When they see his uncommon intelligence they send him to regular school. In exchange for free board and lodging, he worked there as house boy and took odd jobs from a local tailor.
- At Colegio de San Juan de Letran learning institution in Manila, he amazed teacher by giving the answer to very difficult questions very easily. During a study to raise fund for his study, he teaches the students.
- In 1985 he was infected by polio and up to January 1986, he lost his legs due to polio.
- He was arrested when the plans of the Katipunan were discovered by Spanish authorities and his first phase was going to begin in 1896 but he was later released after seeing he was paralysed by the Spanish authorities.
- He got so many honors like there is school 'The Mabini Academy' in Lipa city was named after him, Four Philippine municipalities are named after him Mabini, Batangas, Mabini, Bohol, Mabini, Compostela Valley, and Mabini, Pangasinan and so on.
- He was named as the 'Brains of the Revolution' due to his role as an advisor during the formation of the revolutionary government.
- There were rumors that he got paralyzed not because of polio but due to the venereal disease - specifically, syphilis but when Mabini's bones were exhumed and the autopsy was done in 1980 it was proved that he got paralyzed due to polio.
