Career of Glenn Miller
In 1928, his songbook "Glenn Miller's 125 Jazz Breaks for Trombone" was published. He became a part of Nichols's orchestra in 1930. He worked as a trombonist, arranger, and composer in The Dorsey Brothers. In 1937, he formed his first band. In 1938, his band started making recordings for the RCA Victor subsidiary Bluebird. He and his band appeared in two films Sun Valley Serenade and 1942's Orchestra Wives.
