Waris Ahluwalia was born in Amritsar Punjab India in 1974 but later on shifted to New York when he was 5. He is a Sikh American actor cum Jewelry Designer cum activist. His company House of Waris come into existence when owners of Maxfield's in Los Angeles noticed him designing diamond rings and placed an order which sold out. When he heard about the terrorist attack in Mumbai on 23 November 2008, he along with Mortimer Singer and Tina Bhojwani, created a book which aims to raise funds, spirits, and awareness for the victims of the attacks and all of the fund go directly to Taj Public Service Welfare Trust.

His first film was The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou in 2004 in which he was Vikram Ray. He had a small role in The Grand Budapest Hotel and his film Beeba Boys was released on October 16, 2015.
