Career of John Bentley
Before getting into the film he worked in a radio musical, and his first films was also a romance musical named 'The Hills of Donegal' in 1947. In the 1950s he did a supporting role in 'The Happiest Days of Your Life'. He his mainly is known for his roles as detective, police etc mostly in B grade movies, few of his movies are Istanbul, Submarine Seahawk. He appeared in 'Torment' in 1950, and in the same year he did 'The Happiest Days of Your Life','Paul Temple's Triumph','She Shall Have Murder'. He has also appeared on television. He was featured in Soap Opera 'Crossroads'. He was seen in a TV magazine programme 'Lunch Box' as a guest singer.

- Besides acting he is also a skilled singer. He sang for Martyn before getting a work in a radio musical.
- His father died when he was a small kid and was brought up by his mother. He had a little interest in the theatre when he was sixteen years old.
- He was never actually into acting, he once said he did not had much interest in theatrical line until he was sixteen and everything happened accidentally. The radio producer Martyn C. Webster in one of his radio show offered people to visit his studio for the audition. It was offered that the people who are good enough would be given work at the radio station, as he was quite good at singing he went for the audition in front of Martyn and was selected into a radio musical from where he emerged into acting.
