He started his career as a violinist but found more beneficial in working as a vaudeville comedian. He worked in fourteen films like Renegades of the West as Dr. Henry Fawcett, Bad Men from Missouri as Lafe. He appeared as Soapy Jones in fifteen films. Some of them are West to Glory, Shadow Valley, and Wild Country. He also worked in small screen and some of his television credit includes his role as Henry Wilson in an episode of The Cisco Kid, as Walsh in "Annie and the Miser" and many more. He appeared in seven episodes of Lawman as Ike Jenkins. He performed five times in the episode of CBS's Alfred Hitchcock Presents.
