Ron Smoorenburg was born on 30 April 1974 in Nieuwegein. He started his training at a very small age of seven. He first began with Zudo and 4 years later he also learned karate and free fighting which is a form of Martial Art Ro. He was influenced by Jackie Chan and Hwang In-Shik. He also has a record of the highest kick of 11 feet.
Smoorenburg and his wife Thai-born Tik also have a son called Nicky. He currently lives in Thailand working as an actor, stuntman and action choreographer.

He started his career with Jackie Chan and from there he learned about how to work in a fight scene. He has worked in the number of films such as Who am I, Gen- Y Cops, Born Wild etc. He appeared as a top villain on an episode of the short-lived action series Der Puma: Kampfer mit Herz, He has also worked in Hong Kong Movies. He has appeared as a cage fighter in Gen- Y Cops with a short fight scene with Stephen Fung. He learned ropes in Hong Kong and then returned to the Netherlands in 2002 and then he began to craft his skills as an actor and action choreographer.
In 2005 when Smoorenburg went to Thailand, he appeared in both films as well as TV series where he got a chance to show his action style. He is also seen in the Bollywood film starring Salman Khan like Brother and Sultan but he is mainly Known for his end fight in Jackie Chan's 'Who am I' in 1998.
His upcoming movie named 'Asura' which is going to release in 2018 is Chinese Highest Budget Movie in this movie he plays the role of a General. When he was 17, he saw something in the newspaper which was about free fighting and he joined them after reading the ad. There were quite advanced people like a black belt in judo, karate. once his trainer thought he is showing off his kicks and stuff and he was punished in the first lesson. He thought of never coming back but he stuck to it & also got his black belt after completing the training.
