He joined the acting industry in the year 1985 and started appearing in television series like Boy Meets World, All My Children, and Guiding Light. He gained popularity with his character Sean Murphy in the drama series "Oz". He also starred in the sitcom "One of the Boys". Some of his film work includes films like Across the Universe, The Place Beyond the Pines, and The Avengers.
