One of American character actor who had appeared in almost 500 films was Irving Bacon. He was born in Saint Joseph, Missouri, U.S. on September 6, 1893, and died at the age of 71 in Hollywood, California, U.S. on February 5, 1965. He was married to Freda Lee Scofield in 1921 but unfortunately, she died after 7 years of their marriage couple had two kids named as Robert and Barbara. After that, he was married to Margaret (Peggy) Beaver in 1930 but after having one child Bernice Peters they got divorced in 1934. His mother was also an actress named Myrtle Vane. One of his most notable television series was I Love Lucy in which he appeared for 2 episodes.
Career of Irving Bacon
He started his career on stage and work there for many years before getting a break in film line in 1920. He was cast in the film by director Lloyd Bacon. In 1923, he had worked in the film Anna Christie. He was Chumley in the film Two Sisters which was released in 1929. In 1930, he performed Harry in the film Street of Chance. As Ramrod and Jacques in the films Branded Men and This Is the Night, 1931 and 1932 respectively. He was Helen's father in Sing, Bing, Sing and was a Prisoner in The Big Broadcast these films were also released in 1932. In 1934, he had worked in two films Broadway Bill and It Happened One Night.
His character was Slim in Ship Cafe in 1935. And act as Pretty in Forgotten Faces in 1936.
