Career of Akshar Patel
He played for Gujarat in the Ranji Trophy Trophy. In the IPL, he was first chosen by Mumbai Indians and by y Kings XI Punjab in the following season. After a wonderful performance in IPL, he was selected in team India for the tour to Bangladesh where he played his first ODI. His first Twenty20 International match was against Zimbabwe on 17 July 2015.

- Initially, he was not interested in cricket but his father forced him to choose cricket as a profession. To check him playing on the field, his father used to check his clothes.
- The reason for not having love with cricket was also his phobia of the leather ball. He also refused to play in a tournament because of his fear of the leather ball.
