Career of Gregor Mendel
He experimented on plants. In his studies it was revealed that when true-breeding different varieties were crossed to each other, one in four pea plants had purebred recessive traits, two out of four were hybrids, and one out of four were purebred dominant. He also establishes two laws the "Law of Segregation" and the "Law of Independent Assortment" which was called "Mendel's Laws of Inheritance" later on. He also experimented on bees but it was not successful. In his last time, he returned back to the monastery and lived a life of a monk.
