He along with fellow group members Lim Hyunsik, Jung Ilhoon, Seo Eunkwang, and Lee Minwoo before the group made his official debut on March 21, 2012, on M! Countdown. He played supporting roles in dramas such as A New Leaf, Sweet, Savage Family and more. He also appeared in the film "The Swordsman" as Gyeom Sa-bok.
