Career of Dionne Warwick

She started singing as a child with her family group "Drinkard Singers." She made her debut with the solo single "Don't Make Me Over" which was released in November 1962. She gained immense popularity with her songs "Walk On By" and "Do You Know the Way to San Jose?" Her 1967 LP "Here Where There Is Love" was also well received. She released the single "That's What Friends Are For" to benefit "the American Foundation for AIDS Research" in 1985.
