He started his career in the year 1989 when he signed with Epic Records. His first self-titled album was released in 1990. His second album 'I Thought It Was You,' was certified platinum. He co-produced his fourth album 'More Love' in 1993. He was shifted to Columbia Records in 1995 where he released the album 'Faith in Me, Faith in You,' He recorded 'The Long Way' in 2002 after signing with Audium Entertainment.
