She participated in a singing reality show "Sa Re Ga Ma" in which she was noticed by the director Sanjay Leela Bhansali who gave her a big break by offering her to sing in the film "Devdas". She sang five songs in this film. After that, she start to rise step by step. She also performed in musical concerts around the world. She became a brand ambassador for Joyalukkas jewelry in 2011. She performed concerts at the Fox Theatre in Detroit with a forty member live Symphony band in 2017.
