Career of S. Janaki

She started her career as a playback singer in a Tamil film called "Vidhiyin Vilayattu" in 1957. She has sung many songs with S.P. Balasubrahmanyam. She also sang duets with T.M. Soundararajan, P.B. Sreenivas, K.J. Yesudas, Sirkazhi Govindarajan, Mano, Ghantasala and Ilaiyaraaja, and more in South Indian film industry. She collaborated with Kishore Kumar, Amit Kumar and many others vocalist for Hindi movies. Her last concert was in Mysuru after which she took retirement.
