Career of Neelam Kothari

Her first film appearance was in the film 'Jawaani.' However, the film didn't work well but the actress got exposure and received various offers after that. She worked with Govinda in the film "Ilzzam" and got popularity. She worked with him in 14 films like Hatya, Taaqatwar. She also appeared with Rajesh Khanna in the hit film "Ghar Ka Chiraag."

Initially, she was not interested in acting and came to Mumbai just to visit her grandparents. She was noticed by Bollywood director Ramesh Behl who lived in the same department as her grandparents.
The actress was not fluent in Hindi at the time she joined the film industry.
She appeared for a cameo as a VJ in the film "Kuch Kuch Hota Hai."
Neelam is now working as a jewelry designer after taking retirement from the acting career. She owned a store called "Neelam Kothari Fine Jewels" in Mumbai.
