Ross Alexander whose real name Alexander Ross Smith was born on July 27, 1907, Brooklyn, New York and died on January 2, 1937. He was a stage and film actor.

During the 1920s he starts his acting career with Broadway productions and due to his charming style and good looks he starts doing the substantial roles in 1926. He also made his debut in The Wiser Sex (1932) and signed a contract with the Paramount Pictures, but the movie doesn't get so successes so he returns back to the Broadway production. In 1935 he gave two big hit movies named Captain Blood and A Midsummer Night's Dream. In 1935 he appeared in two movies 'Here Comes Carter' and 'China Clipper' opposite to actress Anne Nagel with whom he gets married. In 1936 he ha appeared in movie 'Hot Money' in which he plays a role of Chick Randall. In 1936 he has worked in two movies named 'China Clipper' as Tom Collins and 'Here Comes Carter' as Kent Carter. In 1937 the last movie in which he has appeared was 'Ready, Willing, and Able' as Barry Granville.
