About Philip Ahn
Philip Ahn was born on 29 March 1905, in Highland Park, Los Angeles, California, the United States. He was a Korean American actor and the first Asian-American actor to get a star on Hollywood Walk of Fame. His father was Dosan Ahn Chang-ho who was a teacher and also an activist for Korean War of Independence. He died on February 28, 1978, due to complications from surgery. His father was an activist and Japanese in a hope to play down his independence work buried him far from the city whereas his mother died in California. He worked with Korean government and establish a park to honor his father and was able to have his parents buried there. He also opened a restaurant with his sister which was the first Chinese restaurants in Panorama City in the San Fernando Valley.
In high school, he went to see a set of film named The Thief of Bagdad, where he met Douglas Fairbanks who offered him a role in the film but his mother does not allow him He had also worked as an elevator operator to support his family. His father wanted him to be an actor and also convinced him to take acting and cinematography classes. He worked as president of the USC Cosmopolitan Club and also was chairman of the All-University Committee on International Relations, he was assistant to the dean of male students as an adviser for foreign student affairs.

During the World War II, he had done many roles of Japanese Villian people thought that he is a Japanese and he also received death threats after that He also served U.S. Army as an entertainer. He was seen in four episodes of ABC's Adventures in Paradise, four episodes of the ABC/Warner Brothers crime drama Hawaiian Eye, and the CBS crime drama Hawaii Five-O. He had also worked in two television movies and worked in many films like Thank You, Mr. Moto in 1937 as Prince Chung, Hawaii Calls in 1938 as Julius and as Dr. Kim in China Sky and Wong was his final film role in Portrait of a Hitman in 1977.
