Kento started his acting journey in 2010 with the television gig Atami no Sousakan. He was seen in the character of Shinya Shijima. The following year, he got his first silver screen project named Control Tower as Kakeru. He is widely noted for his roles in the films L DK (2014) as well as Heroine Shikkaku (2015). He also rose to fame with his work in Orange (2015) and Kingdom (2019). His work in Death Note (2015), Kiss That Kills (2018), and Good Doctor (2018) also garnered him much recognition, however, he got worldwide popularity with his work in Alice in Borderland as Arisu.
