About Eddie Albert
He was an American actor and an activist, He was nominated for best supporting actor in Roman holiday (1954) and the heartbreak kid (1973) for the academy award. He gave his appearance in several movies, and some of his best-known screen roles were, Bing Edwards in the "Brother Rat", Ali Hakim as a traveling salesman in the "Oklahoma" and in 1974 he played the role of a sadistic prison warden in "The Longest Yard".
Career of Eddie Albert
Early Career
He started his business after graduation but his business collapse after a stock market crash in 1929. He started working as a trapeze performer, an insurance salesman, and a nightclub singer. In 1933, he shifted to New York and get the work in radio and hosted a show "The Honeymooners: Grace and Eddie Show" and was also offered a film by Warner Bros at the end of the show.
On stage
In the 1930's, he worked on Broadway plays like Brother Rat and had a lead role in Room Service (1937-1938) and The Boys from Syracuse (1938-1939). He takes a break from the stage and returns to Broadways in 1950 for performing the role in Miss Liberty (1949-1950) and The Seven Year Itch (1952-1955). He had a lead role in the Broadway production of The Music Man as Professor Harold Hill.

In 1955 He plays Reuben in Marc Blitzstein's Reuben in Boston. He has also worked in The Muny Theater in St. Louis and reprises his role of Harold Hill in The Music Man in 1966 and was Alfred P. Doolittle in My Fair Lady in 1968.
