About Ancol Dreamland
Ancol Dreamland is a theme park located in Jakarta, Indonesia. It was established in the year 1966. The park is a property of PT. Pembangunan Jaya Ancol Tbk which is a part of Pembangunan Jaya Group. C. Paul Tehusijarana is currently serving as CEO of the group. The resort also provides a golf course, hotels, and other recreational services alongside a theme park. It opens every morning at 6:00 am and closes at 10:00 pm. The ticket price is Rupiah 295, 000 from Monday to Friday while on the weekend it rose to Rupiah 325, 000 per person.
How To Reach Ancol Dreamland
You can go to your destination by train which stops at Ancol Station which is just 11 minutes walking distance from the resort. Buses are also available which leave you at Manggadua Selatan and after a 16-minute walk, you will be at the site.
Some Lesser Known Facts About Ancol Dreamland
- The resort features a theme park named Dunia Fantasi. The dreamland has over 40 rides and attractions. You can have fun at the roller coaster, swinging ship, Ferris wheel, and a log flume. Besides that, you can have a visit to Ancient Greece and Ancient Egypt inside the park. Many more things, for which visitors want to come here again and again.
- Atlantis Water Adventure is another attraction of the resort. It is a water park spread in an area of more than five hectares. Here attractions are a rainbow ball pool, water slides, river pool, waterfall pool, two children's pool, and a wave pool. Also, there are five restaurants and a food court making it the best location to spend a hot summer day.
- Ocean Dream Samudra is a 4D theater and small aquarium. It offers the visitors to know about marine life including dolphin and sea lion show. The visitors must know that it was the first aquarium to display the Irrawaddy dolphin colony which was brought here in 1974.
- The resort has also kept some beautiful birds like Bali myna, white cockatoo, Scarlet macaw, and Sun conure in its bird park. Spending time with these beautiful birds is also a great idea to be added to the trip.
