About Pinjore Gardens
Pinjore Garden also called Yadavindra Gardens is a beautiful garden located in Pinjore city on Ambala-Shimla highway. It was built by Fidai Khan in Mughal gardens architectural style and was renovated by the Patiala dynasty Sikh rulers. It is just 22 kilometers away from the city of Chandigarh. The garden is spread in an area of 100 acres and looks magnificent in evening when fountains present in the garden glow with bright light. On working days, the garden opens at 7:00 in the morning and closes at 9:30 pm, while on Sundays it remains open for twenty-four hours. A nominal fees of INR 20 per person is charged by the authorities, however, a child below the age of three is free to enter the garden.

Pinjore Garden is located close to the popular cities like Chandigarh and Panchkula and is easily accessible using any local means of transport.
Bus
As the garden is located on the Ambala-Shimla highway so it is easy to reach there, using any bus going to Kalka, Shimla or any other nearby city.

If you prefer a train journey, then took a train going to Kalka. The garden is just five kilometers from Kalka-Shimla railway so you can take any of the local means of transport available and reach the garden comfortably.

- You can enjoy various fair and festivals like Pinjore Baisakhi Festival, Pinjore Mango Fair, and Pinjore Heritage Festival.
- The park is designed on the basis of Shalimar Bagh, Srinagar. The architecture is also named the Shish Mahal, which is adjacent to "Hawa Mahal."
- The park is open all the seven days of the week between 7:00 am to 10:00 pm. They charge about 20 INR for adults while children below three years are free.
- The garden is subject to various film shooting. For an instance, you have seen the song "Mein Vari Mein Vari' which was filmed in the garden.

- The garden was founded by the Mughals in their architectural style and was repaired by the Patiala Dynasty Sikh Rulers. You can notice the glimpse of both the dynasty by visiting the place.
- It has a beautiful view especially during night time when light reflects through the fountain. It is a perfect place of picnic at the time of summers when eye-catching fountains also absorbs the scorching heat of sun.
