Mount Elgon is a renowned extinct volcano located at the border of Uganda and Kenya. Mount Elgon is said to be one of the oldest extinct volcanoes in Africa as it is more than 24 million years old. Mount Elgon is famous for its cold weather and people from the hot plains prefer to switch here to a hot climate.
