About Fatehpur Sikri
Fatehpur Sikri is a walled city located in the district of Agra in Uttar Pradesh, India. It was founded in 1571 by Mughal Emperor
Akbar. It became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1986. You can visit the monument between sunrise to sunset any day of the week. The ticket price for an Indian national is 35 Rupees. The visitors from SAARC and BIMSTEC also have to pay the same ticket price. While a foreigner has to pay 550 INR to have a visit. Children below the age of 15 are free to enter the premises.
How To Reach Fatehpur Sikri
The place is located close to Salim Chishti tomb and is easy to reach as several transport options are available. You can opt for any of them.
Bus
There are buses that leave you at the Fatehpur Sikri bus stand. If not, then some of the nearby bus stops are Hanuman Mandir, Gurki Mandi, and Korai. From there you can take any public transport or a small walk will take you to the destination.
Train
If you prefer a train journey, then you have to leave your train at Fatehpur Sikri train station. If your train is not going there then you can get off at any of the nearby stations which are Aulenda railway station, Singarpur train station, Chiksana train station, Rupbas train station, and Ikran station.
