About Binnenveld mansion
Binnenveld mansion is a monument situated in Huissen town of Netherlands. It is a national heritage site of the Netherlands. The building is a witness of the Battle of Arnhem which is said to be a major war at the time of the Second World War. The building was purchased by Dutch television personality Emile Ratelband in the year 2008 who was arrested in 2012 trying to set fire to the building. Though the building saved about 200 villagers at the time of the flood in 1770. But still is considered for giving bad luck and nobody even wants to stand before the house.
Some Lesser Known Facts About Binnenveld mansion
- When Ratelband was the owner of the building, he tried to renovate the building in order to live in the house. He was a non-believer of the existence of the ghost. But the family could not do so as they heard banging sounds, piano music while there was no one in the house. The family also heard weird noises. The project was canceled and they shifted to another home.
- It is said that a German soldier was killed in this house at the time of the Second World War. The building is also known for the four women who committed suicide at different times but all of them died by hanging.
- Another owner Dutch millionaire Johan Vlemmix bought the house from Ratelband and experienced the same as the Ratelband family like someone is moving on the floor with him, doors closed by itself, a ceiling leaked water, and mysterious voices. He suffered a great loss after buying this house alongside he got various health issues and also his girlfriend left him.
- According to one psychics, there is a body buried in the cellar and the area is big enough to bury a body. Who knows the truth behind this mansion but all the owners of this house got bad luck when they purchased this house.
