About Convent of St John Mustair
The convent of St.John is an old monastery located in Val Mustair in Switzerland. According to the estimates, it was founded in 780 by the bishop of Chur. It is also said the Charlemagne who was a devout Christian and wanted his people to get an education ordered to found this abbey. It was designated as the UNESCO World Heritage Site in the year 1983. The convent remains open from Monday to Friday 10:00 am to 12:00 pm and 1:30 to 4:30 pm, and on Sunday it opens only from 1:30 to 4:30 pm.
