About Golden Temple (Amritsar)
It is a prominent Sikh Gurdwara also known as Harmandir Sahib. It is an important pilgrimage site for Sikhs. Bathing at the holy water at Haminder Sahib and visiting there is considered an important part of Sikhism. The gurudwara remains open all days of the week between 5:00 am to 10:00 pm for darshan. However, you can enter the premises and can have lunger 24 hours a day. Visiting there at the time of Baisakhi, Holi, and Diwali is also suggested if you want to see the beautiful decoration and celebration here. There is no entry fees but you can donate money or any other things if you want to.

As Golden Temple is an important place and many visitors come here to see this Gurudwara, it is easy to reach here without facing any difficulty. You can opt for any transport option whichever is suitable to you:
Air
If you are going to visit the gurudwara by Air, you can take a taxi from Amritsar Airport, which is about 13 kilometers away from Gurudwara. It takes hardly 10-15 minutes to reach the destination.
Train
Going there by train is also a convenient method to reach. The gurudwara is only two kilometers away from the Amritsar Railway Station. You can walk, if you are not tired of your journey. There are several rickshaws and auto-rickshaws available at the gate of railway station that will take you comfortably to the shrine.
Bus
You and also go there by bus and take any local transport option after reaching Amritsar Bus stand. You will not face any problem here as the residents of Amritsar are friendly and food lover.
