- Built in the year 1876, the vicarage for used as a residential space for the holy men of the area. Located in a remote village in Sweden, it offers peace and tranquility and all in all a perfect place for lovers of the quiet. One can pass the time fishing or snowmobiling.
- It also offers a sense of thrill and excitement to followers of the occult and believers of the paranormal. Various odd occurrences led people to believe in its haunting. Visitors have reported numerous accounts of encounters with spirits and an uncanny "presence".
- These incidents first began in the year 1927. That is to say for 90 years, the vicarage was a place of peace and a humble abode for the residents. The resident Vicar at the time noticed his laundry torn from the line. Passing it off as strange yet unexplainable, there wasn't a claim of the vicarage being "haunted" yet.
- With the coming of new Vicars and their families since 1927, they've all reported strange instances and antics done by ghost residents. One, for example, is the sighting of shadow people. These "shadows" are forms of people long gone; who they might remain a topic of much debate. Some say maids and servants abused at the hands of their masters. A certain visitor named Inga Flodin narrates her experience as "terrifying". Inga woke up one night by a disturbance, upon waking up she saw three old women sitting in on a sofa in her guestroom. They were crying and visibly upset.
- Another incident is described by a man named Erik Lindgren. In the year 1945, he was working as a chaplain. He was exhausted and decided to sit down on the rocking chair. A strong force pushed him off the chair and threw him to the ground. The rocking chair can be found rocking on its own in the vicarage today.
- In the early 1980s, an ambitious priest by the name of Tore Forslund, came to the town claiming that he'd get rid of the negative entities present on site. He recorded his experiences in his journal. He had little succes with his prayers and exorcisms and eventually moved away.
- Legend has it that these haunting experiences began with a priest named Per Hundland. He lost his wife to childbirth after she gave birth to their 11th baby. Her body was buried near the vicarage. But rumor has it that upon moving away, the priest dug her up and carried her with him. Strangely enough, the first incidents of haunting were noticed by the priest's own son, Nils Hundland. Many say that the family is the reason or is primarily connected with the history of ghost haunting at the vicarage.
