It is a rainfed lake made with a seasonal stream from the Shivalik Hills. It covers an area of three kilometer square and has an average depth of eight feet with a maximum of sixteen places at certain places. Lake was founded by Le Corbusier and the Chief Engineer P L Verma. It was also named as Chakraborty Lake for a period of Chakraborty Lake to honor Governor of Haryana Birendra Narayan Chakraborty.

Pinjore Garden also called Yadavindra Gardens is a beautiful garden located in Pinjore city on Ambala-Shimla highway. It is a zoo located in Chhat Village of Zirakpur, Punjab. It is just twenty kilometers away from the capital city, Chandigarh.
