There is rarely a movie fan who has not watched Harry Potter movies. Every film in this series is equally interesting. The film takes you to the world of wizards and witches that leaves an everlasting impression on the mind. All the films are based on J.K. Rowling 's series of novels with the same name. Here are some interesting facts about the movie, we bet you love to read:

First of all, every Harry Potter fan must know that the whole cast was either British or Irish, as Rowling wanted this so that the actors will suitably fit into the character. However, there are some exceptions like Hufflepuff student Susan Bones was played by American actress Eleanor Columbus and also actors from France and Eastern Europe were seen in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

You will be amazed to know that the main lead Daniel Radcliffe didn't have to audition for the role as the director Chris Columbus has already selected him by watching his work in the BBC TV miniseries "David Copperfield."

Alan Rickman was the only cast member who knew about Snape’s secret. Yes! It’s true. As we watch the early installments of the series we wouldn’t love Professor Snape’s character until it is revealed that Snape is not a negative character. Rowling told Rickman about the secret of the character so that he would stay with the character to the end.

Though there are over 100 actors who worked in the film series there are only 14 actors who appeared in all eight films including Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson , Tom Felton, and Rupert Grint .

The character Dobby was not liked in Russia. Many Russians claim that the character of Elf in the film "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets" has quite a resemblance with the Russian President Vladimir Putin having a pointy nose, floppy ear, bug eyes with a bald head. Also, one of the Russian lawyers threatened Warner Bros to file a lawsuit. However, no case was filed.

Many actors like Alan Cumming , and Hugh Grant turned down the role of Gilderoy Lockhart until Kenneth Branagh accepted the role.

The triple-decker bus which Harry took for the Hogwards in the film “Harry Potter And The Prisoner of Azkaban” was a real bus. It was moving at a normal speed, but the footage was sped up in the editing.

Earlier the makers were thinking to make two installments of the film “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire” but later on they decided to end it in one film.

Helen McCrory was the first choice of the makers for the role of Bellatrix Lestrange, however, the actress turned down the role due to pregnancy. The role went to Helena Bonham Carter . She, later on, appeared as Lestrange's sister Narcissa Malfoy in “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.”

Evanna Lynch designed jewelry for several characters, including her own Luna Lovegood.

Jamie Campbell-Bower who played Gellert Grindelwald in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 also appeared in “Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald” reprising the character which made him the only actor to appear in both Harry Potter film series and in the spin-offs.

One more interesting thing, Eddie Redmayne who is known for playing magi zoologist Newt Scamander in the Fantastic Beasts films auditioned for the role of Tom Riddle in “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets” but was not selected. The role was eventually played by Christian Coulson. Later on, his character Newt won the hearts. If you have noticed the Marauder’s Map in “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban” the name of his character was included in the Map.
