The new season of the show plot with the story of Abhira, Armaan, Rohit and Roohi. Rohit and Armaan got married on the same day. Where Rohit’s marriage with Roohi was an arrange marriage where family member have decided partners of Roohi and Rohit, the marriage of Armaan was just opposite, they were forced to get marries as a last wish of dying Akshara.
Both daughters-in-law are often compared by Poddar family. Where Roohi was showns as a matured housewife who is perfect in kitchen and other household work, Abhira is just opposite as she is not a good cook, regularly make mess in her room and kitchen. Also, she doesn't know how to wear a saree, however she managed to wear it watching a video on YouTube but it gets unplated in front of all the guests in MoohDikhayi ceremony. Abhira is not perfect in household work but she can do that many women don’t ever think of, she can repair the car and do many manly work.
Abhira also won in the ritual where all the ladies have to dress their husbands in traditional Rajasthan dresses. She easily tied turban on Armaan’s head when Roohi was just thinking of how to tie. At the end, Abhira broke the record of Dadi Sa. One of the guest comments that Dadi Sa has got her competitor.

Abhira saved Dadi Sa's life when she finds her locked in a room. She broke the glass and open the door, in which she also gets injured and saved her life. Despite the fact, Dadi Sa didn't listen to her and opened her mother's box after the Rohit's escape.
Abhira ran away from Poddar house, so Armaan goes to search Abhira while Roohi takes care that no one in the house come to know that she has absconded. When she returned back media people asked her that if she has been tortured by the family to which Abhira smartly replied so that image of Poddar family remains unaffected, and she will be able to follow her dreams. Once again, Abhira proved Dadi Sa that she is more smart than her.
When whole the family came to know about the reality of Armaan and Abhira's wedding, Abhira left the Poddar House and started living in a women's hostel. Armaan went there to take back, Abhira, but she was so angry and refused to go with him. Armaan's father take the situation seriously and decided to leave the house as he wanted Armaan to live with Abhira for the lifetime. Manisha also revealed the truth that how Sanjay is trying to control the whole family. At last, the whole family decides to take back Abhira. On Madhav's request Abhira agrees to go back but she says that she will not go back silently and plans for a dashing comeback.
