Alex Gonzaga was born at Taytay, Rizal on January 16, 1988. In 2008 she changed her name officially to Alex Gonzaga. Her elder sister who was also an actress named Toni Gonzaga help her to come in the industry. From the University of Asia and the Pacific she graduated Bachelor of Science in Child Development and Education.

She began her career with the ABS-CBN's sitcom, 'Let's Go' where she appeared as Alex and worked in that up to the series fourth season called 'Gokada Go'. She became the host of the talk show named 'Juicy' after entering the TV5. She appeared in the main lead role at 'Babaeng Hampaslupa' where she played a title role. After that, she came back to the ABS-CBN and got her first project for the fifth season (2014) of the Philippine adaption (2005?) of the reality television series 'Big Brother' as a host. She appeared in the ABS-CBN's comedy gag television series 'Banana Split'.

In 2014 she appeared in her first film named 'The Amazing Praybeyt Benjamin' under the Star Cinema. The movie was successful and gross more on his opening day. In 2015 she released her debut album 'I Am Alex G.' under the Star Music. In 2015 on fantasy comedy-drama television series Inday Bote she appeared as in the lead role. Later she announced that she was the host of the ABS-CBN's dance competition television series named Dance Kids in 2015.

IN 2016 she won the Students' Choice of Reality/Game Show Host for 'The Voice Kids' by 12th USTv Awards, Anak TV Awards give her the Makabata Stars awards ass Herself. In 2014 28th PMPC Star Awards for TV gave her the Best Talent Search Program Hosts award for the 'The Voice of the Philippines'. In 2013 she received two awards the Best Talent Search Program Hosts and Makabata Stars.
