Brandi Chastain is an American retired soccer player who was two-time Olympic gold-medalist, two-time FIFA Women's World Cup champion, sports broadcaster and a coach. From 1988?2004 she played for the United States women's national soccer team and in 192 caps on the team, she scored the 30 goals playing midfielder positions and defender. Against China, she made World Cup-winning penalty shootout goal in the 1999 FIFA Women's World Cup final. In 2013 she was called as the USWNT All-Time Best XI. She was inducted into National Soccer Hall of Fame in March 2017.

She was born on July 21, 1968, at the San Jose, California, U.S. From the age of 8 she starts playing the soccer but there was no girls team in the school Davis Junior High School so she gave trail of the game and was selected for the boy's soccer team. She studied at the Archbishop Mitty High School and also help her team to get the lead in the three consecutive matches. She attended the University of California, Berkeley. She later signed many endorsement brands and appeared in maany Tv shows.

While attending the University of California, Berkeley she was selected in the Golden Bears and played as forward for that team. That was the only year when she played for the Golden Bear At that time as a freshman, she scored 15 goals and get the honor of the Freshman Player Of The Year by Soccer America. At the 1996 Women's Olympic Football Tournament in Atlanta, she played as a defender against the national team. For Shiroki FCshe play soccer for one season in Japan's L.League.

She was two-time Olympic gold-medalist, two-time FIFA Women's World Cup champion and also was inducted into the National Soccer Hall of Fame in March 2017.
