She participated in the World Junior Championship when she was 19 years old where she set a record by scoring 6,470 points. She won the outdoor title at the 2003 World Championships in Paris by participating in heptathlon. She won a bronze medal in the long jump at the World Indoor Championships in the year 2004. In 2007, she won the European Indoor Championships which was held in Birmingham.
