Career of Alberto Salazar
He started his running career at the time he was in high school. He joined the 1977 NCAA cross country championship team at the time he was a student at the University of Oregon. He was the winner of the Boston Marathon in 1982. After ending his career as a runner, he started coaching young athletes and trained popular runners such as Mary Decker, Alan Webb, Galen Rupp, and many other athletes.
