His acting career started in the early 90s and he worked in the television series like Umeed, Campus, Karm and Lakeerein. He appeared as Vijay Mansingha in the television serial “Aashirwad.” He gained popularity by playing father of the lead character in the soap opera “Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.” He reprised his role in the sequel “Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke.” His other acting credits are Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki, Kartika, and Karishma Kaa Karishma.
