Merle Haggard is one of the best country singers I have ever heard sing. I first saw him in Anderson, Indiana back in 1966. He and Bonnie Owens had not been married too long, he and Bonnie were traveling along with Buck Owens and the Buckaroos. It was a great show and wow were they all great. Merle was quite the flirt, but that was just part of it. A very personable man and friendly to his fans. I always have had a very sweet soft spot for this Iconic singer of our Country Music Industry. Merle, Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Buck Owens, George Jone were always at the top of my list as a young girl, and all of my life since then. We all love you, Merle. You are definitely a 5 Star singer in my book. Sure hated it when you passed, broke my heart. Love that your kids are singing and carrying on the Haggard music and name that we all love so much!
