He started his acting career as a child and was six years old when he was selected to play a role in the television drama “We The People.” He joined SM Entertainment in 2008. The singer also worked with Shinee entertainment before joining Exo. His first film role was in the film “Ex-Files 2: The Backup Strikes Back.” His first solo EP "Lose Control" was released in October 2016. He played the main role in the Chinese film “The Island.”
